Who is Hitler?
•Was born on the 20th of April 1889.
•Died on the 30th of April 1945 by committing suicide.
• In 1933 Hitler was politically elected as chancellor of Germany.
•He killed around11 million people, 6 million of them being Jews.
•He ruled over most of Germany and his aim was to make Germany the most powerful state in all of Europe.
In the time of Hitler...
•He was in office from 1933 – 1945.
•In 1929 the American stock exchange collapsed and caused an economic depression.
• Unemployment in Germany rose to 6 million.
•People lost confidence in the democratic system and turned towards the extremist political parties such as the communists and Nazis during the depression.
•On September the 1st 1939 Germany raided Poland.
•The depression of 1929 created poverty and unemployment, which made people angry with the Weimer government. After this event Hitler brought health and education into Germany.

Short term effects...
•Hitler issued new money that people trusted and there was less violence in the streets as he came into power.
•Hitler caused Germany to enter WWII.
•Many victims of the Holocaust were gassed to death and other died of starvation and diseases while working as slave labours.
•Introduced death camps.
•Dramatic decrease in Jewish population (800 remained after the war).
•Jewish communities were destroyed.
•Hundreds of thousands of gypsies, homosexuals, black people, and mentally and physically disabled people were killed.
•15 million soldiers were killed.

Long term effects...
•Survivors of the Holocaust, 25 years later found out they suffered diseases of every organ.
•Hitler’s beliefs and ambitions resulted in disaster for Germany and left a long lasting destructive legacy for millions of people throughout the world.
•After Hitler’s reign, the Americans took all the Jews to the Middle East where they still are today.
•The Americans re-named the Palestine as Israel.
•The people living in Israel are still angry about their country being overtaken and renamed today.
