Hephaestus was the god of

  • Fire
  • Craftsmen
  • Volcanoes
  • Sculpture
  • Crafted most of the most powerful weapons for the gods in his workshop on Olympus
  • After being thrown out of Olympus by Hera, he came back and entrapped her in a throne he built for her, and earned his way back in to Olympus
  • In part of the deal, Hephaestus also gained Aphrodite as his wife, but she was unfaithful and cheated on him with Ares
