The Medieval Era (450-1450)

The class system was classified as the upper, middle, and lower class

Feudalism was the law of the land. This is what the government in the middle ages went by.

The the position as a Pope were highly recongized. They were highly powerful during the Middle Ages.

Monarch

Kings have complete rule over their land. They often set up laws and morals for the people. Their status or very high.

Nobles

Nobles were highly position in society. There titles were named King/Queen, Prince/Princess, Duke/Duchess, and Baron/Barones. They were powerful military leaders, it was there duty to protect their peasants and the church.

Knights

As the position as a knight they had to be respectful and to look after the people and to defend others.

Knights were important to the society of the Medival Times.

Becoming a knight was very honorable. They could begin training to becoming a knight young as the age of eight years old.

Vassals

Vassals duties were to do as command from their lord. They protected their lord and their land.

Merchants

Merchants in the Middle Ages we handle all business of the trading market.

Famers

Farmers had 2 croppng seasons, a spring and fall crop. The most commonly technique was plowing.

Farmers worked for almost seven days a week. Mostly peasants worked as farmers.

Craftsmen

Craftsmen were a big help to the land, they mend metalwork, mill crops and build houses.

Serfs and Peasants took life harsh. They were the bottom of the social class chain. They were often sold and bought and were restricted to work for their Lord

Peasants were often worked as farmers. They worked in the land of their owners.

Life of the lower class were tough. They mainly depended on family.

The upper class had more rule in the society. They had more orders in the land.

During the time period of the Medieval Times, They had their ups and downs. They based their society on government and religion. Each Class had to live day to day striving to get to their way to the top. The social pyramid was the way to classify the way of living, and setting apart the people.

Serfs were people who worked for the higher level Kings and Queens
