June: Father's Day

  • Father's day is a day to honor what father's do for their families
  • Just like Mother's day but in a father form
  • Fathers all around receive gifts for what they do
  • This celebrated on June 15th
  • Easter is holiday celebrated by americans on April 20
  • This day represents Jesus Resurrection from the dead
  • Also the Easter bunny is the legend of this holiday
  • Coloring eggs is a tradition on this holiday

December: Christmas

September: Labor Day

  • Christmas is celebrated as the birth of Jesus
  • On the morning of Christmas day Santa Clause drops of presents under your family's Christmas tree
  • Christmas is celebrated on December 25th
  • Mother's Day is a day to be thankful for mother's
  • Mother's all around the country receive gifts from family and friends
  • This day is to commemorate what a mother does in a day for her family

October: Halloween

  • Halloween is when children go from door to door dressed in costumes asking for candy
  • When children approach a house asking for candy they say "Trick or Treat"
  • Pumpkins are a symbol of Halloween throughout America
  • Labor Day, the first Monday in September
  • The Creation of labor Day happened nearly 100 years ago
  • The holiday is a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to our country.

  • On January 1st the whole world celebrates a new year
  • The whole country tunes into NYC to watch the countdown to a new year
  • Families have new years eve parties and have a great time
  • Feast of Assumption day is on August 15
  • This day is remembered to the death of Mary
  • Many people feast and remember Mary with their families

  • On Presidents day America honors all of our past presidents
  • This is a day to be thankful for the great presidents that America had in the past

  • On this day many fireworks are displayed
  • Parades are also seen throughout the nation
  • A christian holiday on March 17
  • On st. Patrick's day there are a lot of parades throughout the country

  • Occurs every year on the fourth Thursday of November
  • Thanksgiving is traced back to 1621 in
  • Thanksgiving is a time of giving thanks to family and friends
  • It is a tradition to eat turkey on thanksgiving day with friends and family
