The Philippines should legalize euthanasia because this would help patients who are suffering in their untreatable diseases. It would be unfair to make them suffer. Also, an individual should have the right to choose his/her time of death. This would also help the patient and their loved ones lessen financial and emotional burden. However, the physicians should also try their best to cure the patients by giving them the best medicines. In order to lessen the pain and suffering, the doctor must treat the patients well. If ever the patients have no chance of recovery and he/she request for it, that’s the time we will use the euthanasia or commonly known as mercy killing.
