Seneca the Younger
Education
- Went to School of the Sexii in Rome.
- At the School of the Sexii he studied to be an orator and philosopher.
- Went to live in Egypt for a few years with his uncle, when he returned in 31 he began studying politics and law.
Oedipus

- Retells the story of Oedipus, who killed his father without knowing it was him, and also married his mother.
- Sophocles wrote a story of Oedipus before Seneca, Oedipus the King.
- This play is the model of classic drama in Elizabethan England.
- Born in 4BC in Corduba, Spain.
- Parents are Seneca the Elder, famous rhetoric teacher, and Helvia.
- Mother's sister took him to Rome as a boy to study at the School of the Sexii.

- Banned by Claudius in 41 for adultery with his niece.
