Korean War
The Korean War was on the 38th parallel and still divides Korea today. Both sides lost many people for nothing because they have a ceasefire, but yet never do a peace treaty or kill one another.The reason why the Korean war is connected to the Cold War is because North Korea is communist and earns aid from the Soviets while South Korea is capitalist and gets aid from the United States.
Afghanistan War
The Afghanistan war was a proxy war mostly because America and the Soviets was influencing which side to win. The government was communist and the rebels wanted nothing to do with communism. America soon trained the rebels and won the war.
Vietnam War
The Vietnam war was a loss for America and a win for the Soviet Union. The war started in 1955 and ended on 1975. The reason why it is considered a Proxy war is because of how many Soviet and American troops was there to help and to try and make Vietnam a communist or capitalist country.
