Montague/Capulet
feud takes
two more!
Top story
Fight in town Square leaves two dead!
The Montague/Capulet feud has taken countless lives, but this time in a more unconventional way than usual. This feud has taken its fair share of lives over the years, but never in this way, never under these unusual circumstances.
Juliet and Romeo where found dead in the Capulet tomb last night. Romeo died of poison, and Juliet of a knife wound. Both of these where suicide, they would rather have died than been apart from each other. “Wait”, you may ask “Didn’t Juliet already die earlier that day?”. Yes, Juliet was presumed dead earlier that day, but it was all a trick, Juliet had consumed a Alchemical Mixture that made you look dead for an extended period of time, her plan was to take that Mixture, be presumed dead to get out of her marriage with Count Paris, then have Romeo rescue her from the Morgue when she wakes up. That is not at all how it turned out.
Romeo did not get word of the plan because Friar John Friar John was unable to deliver the letter because he was shut up in a quarantined house due to an outbreak of plague, and fell for the fake death just as we all did, he went to the Morgue, saw Juliet in her ‘dead’ state, and proceeded to take a vial of poison he had purchased earlier. He would rather die than be without Juliet. When Juliet woke up, she saw Romeo, and had the same idea as he had had, that if she couldn’t live without Romeo, she couldn’t live at all.
This hopefully marks the end of this feud, if the children of the two families could put aside the feud, why can’t the rest of the family? There is no one else to blame for these deaths besides the families of the children, they were so focused on the feud that they inadvertently caused both of their children to die. Some may say this is fate, but I say this is just what these families get for putting the feud before their children.
*All information regarding this plan, was given by Friar Lawrence, who apparently helped the couple plan this.
The funeral for Romeo and Juliet
A quote from friar Lawrence
about the troubling love affair:
Earlier this morning, two young men were murdered in the town square, one from the house of Capulet, named Tybalt, and one, a relative of the prince, Mercutio. This was started because of a simple argument between Romeo of the Montagues, and Tybalt, Tybalt urged to fight Romeo, but Romeo declined, not wanting to cause any problems. That’s where Mercutio came into this; he proceeded to fight with Tybalt. Romeo, still wanting to stop this pointless brawl, came in between the two, and while trying to talk some sense into them, Tybalt reached under Romeo’s arm with his sword and killed Mercutio.
You may think this is the end of this, but no. After Mercutio was killed, Tybalt quickly fled, but not without Romeo following behind him and approaching him about Mercutio’s death. Romeo initiated another fight, and it ended with Tybalt dead, and Romeo fleeing from the scene.
All of the recent deaths have been caused by the Montague/Capulet feud in some way. This needs to stop, it has been blown way out of proportion, too many people have died in result of this feud, and if it isn’t stopped, many more will die.
This day has ended with two dead, and one banished from Verona, once again, this has gone too far. The prince needs to do something immediately about this.
Romeo Banished
from Verona!
A picture of the banished.
After the events that happened this morning in the town square, Romeo of the Montagues has ended up banished from the town of Verona! This is causing a great deal of hard feelings towards the Capulets from the Montagues, if the amount of hard feelings they already had towards each other wasn’t enough.
The constant fights and feud between these families has been enough over the years, and now Romeo is banished, it has made this feud much worse. Lady Capulet is being blamed for the Exile of Romeo; since she had made the prince aware that there where many more Montague’s involved in the fight, and only 1 Capulet, though the authenticity of this is still being questioned.
It is unknown where Romeo is going to reside now that he is banished from Verona, but if he is spotted inside the town of Verona, orders are that he will be put to death, no questions asked. The prince sees this as a way of ending this feud. He hoped the Montagues will see that this feud has taken his child, and hopefully he will see it as reason to stop fighting with the Capulets, though both Capulet and Montagues are on their last strike with the prince. Any more infractions like fighting on the streets of Verona will result in the death of them.
A wise quote from our magnificent Prince when Montague was trying to defend Romeo from being exiled:
Montague: " Not Romeo, Prince. He was Mercutio’s friend. His crime did justice’s job by taking Tybalt’s life."
Prince: "Showing mercy by pardoning killers only causes more murders."

Ask Friar Laurence!
Dear Friar,
I am set to be married to a girl later this week, I am truly excited, and I love this girl as much as it is possible, and I cannot wait to be wed to her later this week. But I do not think she feels the same way as I do about this marriage, she does not look like she is excited, nor that she loves me as much as possible. I am worried about this very much, I want to marry her with all my heart, but If she doesn’t feel the same way, I will not go through with this. I want her to be happy more than I want myself to be happy. If she won’t be happy with me I will let her move on.
I think her father set up this up without my bride’s consent, I do not think this is right, but I do not want to make her father angry if I canceled the wedding because she does not want it. I do not know what to do.
I have been pretty worried about this, and I hope you can help. Thanks.

Romeo, Romeo, why must so many die at such a young age, not being able to live life to the fullest, not being able to live as long as everyone should be able to live, all cut short by a chain of tragic events, that ended in his death.
Romeo died for dignity and love. This my friends is a very noble thing to do, because he did not have who he truly loved in life, therefore he took his life for the sake of passion and love. No one else in Verona has ever come across such a loving man with the heart of pure gold.
We will all cherished this majestic man dearly. His cheerful personality and beautiful smile he wore every day will be missed dearly by all members of Verona. We will all weep together to mourn such a tragic loss.
Though his years were cut short, we must remember that it's not about the years in your life but the life in your years.
Why do we study Shakespeare?
Here are true words from romeo we can all remember him by.
You may be asking yourselves why we study Shakespeare? The answer is simply because Shakespeare is one of the greatest writers of all time. His way of putting all different aspects of comedy, tragedy, and history into one play has never been mastered to the extent of Shakespeare's content. This is why hundreds of years later we read the old but magnificent text.
