Types of vocabulary
- Reading vocabulary-Reading vocabulary is all the words he or she can recognize when reading.
- Listening vocabulary-A person's listening vocabulary is all the words he or she can recognize when listening to speech.
- Speaking vocabulary-A person's speaking vocabulary is all the words he or she uses in speech.
- Writing vocabulary-Words are used in various forms of writing.

- Punctuation marks are essential when you are writing.
- They show the reader where sentences start and ations finish.
- Basic punctuations are full stops, capital letters, exclamation marks and question marks.
- These are words we use to make our sentences longer.
Eg;- and,because, but, so, when, then’ .
- These words come in the middle of sentences.
- Connectives are sometimes known as Conjunctions.
- Vocabulary is the set of words within a language that are familiar to that person.
- A vocabulary usually develops with age, and serves as a
useful and fundamental tool for communication and
acquiring knowledge.
Eg;- Instead of using the word ‘nice’ , we could
other more interesting words such as ‘beautiful,
stunning, fantastic’ etc.
O = Openers
- These words are used to open or begin sentences.
- For example: ‘I..., My..., When..., First..., Suddenly...’ There are many more openers.
