The water cycle describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation. The water falling on land collects in rivers and lakes, soil, and porous layers of rock, and much of it flows back into the oceans, where it will once more evaporate. The cycling of water in and out of the atmosphere is a significant aspect of the weather patterns on Earth
Precipitation is a vital component of how water moves through Earth’s water cycle, connecting the ocean, land, and atmosphere.
Precipitation is the process when water comes down on earth in various forms. It can come in the form of sleet, snow and rain.

Examples
Precipitating lead in our water systems will allow it to be removed.
In the future, perhaps we would also be able to do this with other pollutants in our water.
Sodium Chloride is an aqueous solution with the chemical formula NaCl.
All common nitrates are soluble. Silver nitrate is an aqueous solution with the formula Ag(NO)3
> reaction between Sodium chloride and silver nitrate.
> reaction between magnesium chloride and ammonium carbonate.

After the reaction a white solid of AgCl is formed which is known as a Precipitate.
Good morning Ms. Baik and my peers, today our group will present a short prezi on explaining double displacement-precipitation reactions!
Making of Pigment...
- What is another name given to double displacement(precipitation)reactions?
-How do we use these reactions in our daily life?
-How does precipitation take place in the water cycle?
During the process of making a pigment , silver nitrate plus sodium chloride produces silver chloride and sodium nitrate. In this case , the liquid which is formed is called the supernate (NaNO3) and AgCl is the precipiate.
AB + CD > AD + CB
If a reaction between aqueous reactants produces an insoluble product, that product is called a precipitate. The solution that remains is called the supernate.
2KI(aq) + Pb(NO3)2(aq)
-> 2KNO3(aq) + PbI(s)
If either the cation or the
anion is higher on the
solubility table and is
insoluble, the compound will
become a solid.
The most dramatic reaction takes place between Potassium Iodide and Lead (II) nitrate
