Survival
The people in 1690s were able to survive
with some help from the native americans.
Prior to the help, many colonists died due
to the harsh conditions that New England
presented to them.
Government
The Puritan's government was a theocracy, in which priests rule in the name of God. They believed that the Church and the state operated as one. They considered the Bible as the true law of God that gave guidelines for church government. In addition, they wanted to keep the "Church of England"purified and protestant.
