Yes, we do have touchable holograms that we could use in order to achieve the feeling of being inside the environment. But it would not be able to hurt the body unless if someone else was on a computer tracking if they got hurt or killed.

Right now, there are scientists that have made touchable holograms and I think that this is necessary to go into the dome inside The Hunger Games. I think this is important because you need to be able to interact with the environment around you to get supply's.
One thing that we need in order make this happen is not just the kill mechanism but the pain mechanism. The body should take damage to really simulate the pain inside the "dome". An example of this is when you are attacked by the tracker jacker(which are genetically engineered wasps). When the tracker jacker stings, it causes hallucinations so the dome should respond and within the headset the programing should give extreme flashes to give the feel for it and to mesh with the brain to cause fainting.
Even though The Hunger Games is not real, I think that yes, we can make the dome because we could make a deep mind monitor. the deep mind monitor send signals to stimulate feelings such as sadness, anger and pain. It will effect the mental state of the brain so then maybe we can achieve the mental state been controlled by the person at the computer.
A brief summary of The Hunger Games.
The main person is Katniss Everdeen. She took the position of her sister into The Hunger Games which is a fight to the death with 16 people. The place that The Hunger Games takes place is a dome with extreme technology to make things using a dashboard. This is used by the Game Makers as seen in the movie. She did win with the person she had to have with and happy ever after.
Thank you for coming is to this site and reading my project. It really make my heart jump for joy so thank you!
So the real question is do I think that this is mildly close to what the book indented, and to that I say yes, I do. Even though there are a lot of gaps and we might never get to the technology, I think this is how we could make this work in this generation.
