• Brave knight who fought for his country, honoured and respected man, loyal to the king and named him Thane of Cawdor.

• Killed innocent people (Duncan, Lady Macduff/Family, guards, young Siward, Banquo) morality changed needed to kill to keep throne, became a fiend and a tyrant.

Both Gatsby and Macbeth were corrupted by that one single dream that each of them had for themselves. Their one dream took control of their actions which was the cause of their demise.

• Was poor, a solider fighting for his country, fell in love with a rich girl (Daisy), did whatever he could to be with her no matter what was to be done.

• Bootlegging, taking blame for Myrtle’s death, cheating with married woman, rich.

Corruption is the act of being dishonest or lacking integrity. This can lead to losing people’s trust and destroying one’s reputation in a community. Corruption mostly occurs in people who have a higher status.
