This association helped with Abolishing segregation and discrimination and gain civil rights for the African Americans

Black owned business started to pop out everywhere so one man came to help
Brooket T. Washington founded the National Negro Business League
A woman named Madam C.J. Walker did hair styling because of the Business league she was able to open a mail-order business to sell her hair products in 1905
walker suppoted black wellfare,education and civil rights
She believed that black women could also make their own business but they where the ones to go make it happen
Aftermath
What happend in theses years did not effect the African Americans and their fight for freedom but lead into the 1950s to where they really fought examples such as Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, NAACP
Education
The National Urban League improved job opportunities and housing for blacks
More African intellectualls began to publish literature, hisory and groundbreaking sociological studies
Alexander Crummell founded the American Negro Acadamy promoted scholarly publications about African Amaerican culture and history
