Treaty of Paris

Signed September 3rd 1783

The Treaty of Paris was a document stating that The United States of America was free and independent from Britain. You may think that the Treaty of Paris had soemthing to do with the nation of France, though it just is titled that only because the Treaty was signed in Paris, France. Representing Britain, post Battle of Yorktown, was Richard Oswarld, and represeting America, were the famous, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and the less famous, John Jay. Some of the more important things writen into the treaty included that the USA was free from Britain, it established boundries between the British and the United States, granted fishing rights to certain areas (Thanks the Revolutionists Kolby), and also that all prisoners of war, captured by both Britain and America and that all British property was to be kept in tact and given back to the British. Including Slaves. :(
