- After dinner speeches are the best example of an entertaining/special occasion speech.
- The speaker's role is to simply entertain.
- The demonstrative speech has many similarities with the informative speech.
- Demonstrative speech also teaches you something.
- The main difference between a demonstrative speech and an informative speech is that the former includes a demonstration of something.
- A persuasive speech is used to convince people to change in some way:
- The way they think.
- The way they do something.
- To start doing something that they aren't doing.
- To stop doing something that they are doing.
- The purpose of an informative speech is to provide interesting and useful information to your audience.
Example 1
Kailen giving a demonstrative speech on screen printing and then showing you guys how to physically print.
- Dave telling you guys about volcanoes and why they erupt!
- Giving a toast at a wedding.
- Improve your health through a healthy diet and exercise.

Gus giving a speech on how to start a fire without a lighter or matches and then physically showing you how.
