Tactile/Kinesthetic Learners
Tactile – deals more with the sense of touch
Kinesthetic – is more of a whole body movement kind of thing

- Have plenty of paper for taking notes in class to help you concentrate.
- Get physically involved as much as possible.
- Volunteer to assist in a lab demonstration, collect samples, or go to the board to work a problem.
- Make charts, models, etc. to bring to class.
- Work with fellow students in learning teams or study groups.
People who prefer to listen and use their sense of hearing to
learn new content or remember information.
Auditory Learner Strategies
- Sit near the middle of the class where you can hear everything that is said in lectures or class discussions.
- Ask well-thought-out questions in class.
- Go over class material with a friend or fellow student.
- Organize a study group with people from your class to talk about what you are learning.
- record your classes then listen to the recordings on your way home or at night (please get permission from your instructor to record)
- You have a photographic memory (i.e. when you try and remember things you picture the exact placement of the words or image on the piece of paper)

Visual Learners Strategies
- Sit near the front so you can see the teacher and the board clearly
- Read the chapter before class so you will be familiar with the content to be covered
- Pay close attention to pictures, illustrations, charts, and other visual aids in the textbook
- Take notes in class so you will have something to review later.
- Use all hand-outs given to you by the teacher as learning tools.
