3- Scenarios

If we accepted to work on this project, we will have to chose between 3 scenarios,

  • 1st scenario : Keep on producing, in our current production sites, and export the products to China
  • 2nd scenario : subcontract the production to Chinese companies
  • 3rd scenario : build our own production unit in China with a joint-venture

Advantages

Disadvantages

1st scenario

  • Keeping the technology inside the company
  • We can start produce right now
  • We know where to source our different materials
  • We can control the production, costs & margin
  • Not have to find some transporters
  • The cost of sending back the container
  • Custom clearance
  • Damage during the transports
  • Limited by the size of the containers
  • To train Chinese people
  • To send people supervisors from our company in China
  • The technology, not available in China
  • The legislation
