What is Cyberstalking?
Did you know Cyberstalking under the criminal code section in Canada?
This is a crime in which an individual harasses a victim through e-mail, instant messages, phone calls & other communication devices to stalk.
Signs that you are being Cyber Stalked
- Cyber stalking is a cn be prosecuted as a criminal harassment under Criminal Code section 264(1)
- Includes a subsection prohibiting: "repeatedly communicating with,either directly or indirectly, the other person or anyone known to them/.
- When you see the make person constantly lurking around your work place or neighborhood
- Someone always watching you from a distance
- When you are receiving inappropriate gifts
- The same person "rescuing" you to "help" when you have a flat tire or other for other incidents

- Try not to share personal information.
- Use an alternative email account for social media
- Always check your privacy settings.
- Regularly search your name on the internet, this allows you to see what information people are saying about you.
