Saint Ava of Rome

By Holly Kelso

Why I chose her

I chose Saint Ava because she is my patron saint and I love the story of her life and how she became a saint.

When and Where she was born

Saint Ava was born in France on the 29th of April 845 .A.D. but unfortunately was born with blindness. Whether she was born with blindness or from child sickness it is unknown. She later moved to Belgium to study to become a nun.

The image of Ava

This image is a pendant that is asking Saint Ava to pray for us. As you can see the words on the pendant mark "Saint Ava Pray For Us."

Where They Lived their life

Saint Ava lived in Hainaut which is called Belgium now, where she studied and became a Benedictine nun dianant, then later became an abbess.

A Prayer named after Saint Ava

How Saint Ava was Canonized

What is Ava the patron Saint of ?

Bibliography

Most people were canonized by popes but with Ava she was canoized by a group of " Holy People."

Saint Ava was not the Saint of anything. She was elcted to be an abbess (which means a woman who is the head of an abbey of nuns.)

Because Saint Ava was not a Patron Saint She does not have a prayer named after her, so I made one up for the princess.

We Pray for the people with blindness,

For those who were born unlucky,

And we hope that everyone will love God and Jesus just as Ava did.

Saint Ava Pray for us.

Saint Ava's death is unknown. I have looked at more than three websites and all say it is unknown. This is pasted from a website about her death and some of her life:

The date Saint Ava died is unknown. Saint Ava is a Roman Catholic saint. Ava was the daughter of King Pepin. She was cured of blindness by St. Rainfredis.
