- Our objective is to provide an analytical framework that will guide the resolution of ethical problems arising from research involving human subjects
- The general rule is that if there is any element in activity, that activity should undergo review for the protection of human rights

The Guidelines
- On July 12,1974, the National Research Act was signed into law, therefore creating National Commission for the Protection if Human Subjects of bio medical and Behavioral Research.
- Boundaries between biomedical and behavioral research and accepted and routine practice of medicine
- the risk benefits criteria in determination of the appropriate research involving human subjects
- the appropriate guidelines for the selection of human subjects for participation in research , nature and the definition of informed consent in various research settings.
- The individual should be treated as a person
- individual with independence are entitle to protection
- to respect the person is to give use information of the person opinion and choices while refraining from obstructing their actions unless their are clearly detrimental to others
- to show capacity for self determination of the individual that has mature during that individual life.
- Respecting persons. on most hard cases , is often a matter of balancing competing claims urged by the principle itself.
