  • Jewish history, beliefs, and traditions were recorded in the Hebrew Bible beginning as early as the 8th century BCE.

  • Jewish beliefs center on the conviction that there is only one God.
  • Followers of the Christian religion base their beliefs on the life, teachings, and death of Jesus Christ.
  • Christians believe in one God that created heaven, earth, and the universe.
  • The belief in one God originated with the Jewish religion.
  • Christians believe Jesus Christ is the "Messiah" or savior of the world.
  • Christianity is the world's largest religion, with over 2.4 billion adherents, about a third of the world's population.
  • Christianity is severely persecuted in at least 27 countries.
  • Jesus is mentioned more times in the Quran than Muhammad.
  • They both only worship one God.
  • They have the means of salvation
  • Also they believe life after death
  • This was a minority view in its time, but monotheism is now dominant in the western world—thanks to the influence of Judaism on the powerful religions of Christianity and Islam.
  • Today, approximately 14 million people identify themselves as Jews.
  • There are three main branches of Judaism, each with different approaches to religious life.
