Location:

Between North and South America and goes through the top part of South America

Hot Spots

There are many hot spots, volcanoes and few earthquakes the Caribbean plate is considered the mini ring of fire.

Boundaries

Velocity

Key:

Transform Boundary

Convergent Boundary

Direction the Plate is Moving

The velocity is ~2.45 cm/yr. and it moves northwest. The other plates move ~7.55 and ~8.55 cm/yr (East and West plates) and ~1.15 and ~1.54 cm/ yr (North and South plates)

The plate is sliding against the North American Plate and the plate is colliding with three others. The plate is moving northwest at ~2.45 cm/yr.

Interaction with plates

The plate is sliding against the North American plate which creates a transform boundary and the other plates are colliding and creating convergent boundary's. All the plates sub duct underneath the Caribbean Plate.
