Worlds Magnetic Field

Benefits and Limitation

How is the magnet field formed?

  • Formed by the Inner core.
  • Made of iron.
  • Inner core spins on its own rate
  • Inner core has its own hurricanes.
  • Hurricanes and the own spinning speed creates the magnetic field.

Magnets

In Japan

  • Two types HSST, Maglev

Maglev

  • 1969, Miyasaki test 517 km/h
  • 1979 disaster
  • Test track 20 km Yamanishi 1997

HSST

  • Development 1974, Germany
  • Fastest recorded time 30km/h

Leave magnets like this. the magnets attract each other. so the train can rest.

Moral

1.

Video

Magnets attract each other. It moves to

forward just one magnet. But if we don't

do anything train would be resting state.

2.

  • Object with its own magnetic field.
  • "Lodestone", natural magnet.

- First compass used

  • Magnets to treat pain.

- After surgery

- Low back pain

- Nerve pain caused by diabetes

  • Compass uses worlds magnetism.
  • Also called magnetic B field or flux density.

- SI unit for magnet strength is Tesla.

  • Still unclear do magnets have side effects.

Change magnetic pole so many times it

moves forward. If we change magnet

pole fast the train move faster.

Magnet Trains

- Electron spinning around

the core of an atom.

  • Speed

Maximum speed

581km/h

  • Types

  There are two types.

1. Maglev (magnetic levitation)

2. by the wheel

  • How it works

Floating (Maglev)

The train float by the force of

  magnets.

How are magnets applied to transportation in Asia?
