Sexual masochism is the inability to enjoy sex without accompanying emotional or physical pain.

Pedophilia is the desire to have sexual relationships with prepubescent children sd the preffered or exclusive method of achieving sexual excitement.

  • Low sexual desire is more common among women than among men.
  • Sexual desire disorders involve a lack of interst in sex or perhaps an active distaste for it.
  • Orgasm disorders ar more common among women then men.
  • Disorders are sometimes caused by a Physical abnormality.
  • Some people are able to experience sexual desire and maintain arousal but are unable to reach an orgasm. These people are said to have orgasmic disorders.

  • Sildenafil Citrate, or Viagra, is shown to be extremely effective in treating many men who have ED.
  • Viagra will help a man acheive and keep an erection, but it will not produce one unless the man is already sexually aroused.
  • For that reason, specialists advise physicians to first address the psychological factors that may underlie sexual dysfunction before prescribing Viagra.

Women

  • Female sexual arousal disorder- the inability of a woman to be able to become sexually excited or to reach orgasm.

These conditions were once called "impotence" and "frigidity," respectively, but professionals in the field have rejected these terms as negative and judgmental.

Paraphilias involve the use of unconventional sex objects or situations to obtain sexual arousal.

  • there is no single cause:

  • commit sexual offenses against children in response to a temporary aggressive mood
  • pedophiles tend to have a history of sexual frustration and failure, they percieve themselves as immature being dependent, unassertive, lonely, and insecure.

  • Gender-identity disorders are when people want to become a member of the opposite sex

There is also a gender-identity in children

  • for example, when a boy wants to be a girl they will reject to their clothing

and wear their sister's clothes and will only want to play with girls

  • in these cases the children are uncomfortable with being a male or a

female and do not want to accept themselves that way.

  • there are some the theories that suggests that it is caused by genetic (chromosomal) abnormalities, hormone imbalances during fetal and childhood development, defects in normal human bonding and child rearing, or a combination of these factors.
