"The Day Of Judgement and Akhirat"

What Does Islam Say about

the Day of Judgment?

As Muslims we believe that this life is just

a preparation for the next world or the

Hereafter.

According to Islam a day will come when

the whole universe will be destroyed and

the dead people will be resurrected for

Judgement by Allah(SWT).

What will happen that day?

On that day, all people will be rewarded

by God according to their beliefs and

deeds. Those who died saying, "There is

no God but Allah, and Mohammad(s) is

The messenger of Allah", and are

Muslims will be rewarded Paradise and

they will stay there forever.

The hour will not come until..

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet(S) said:

"The Hour will not come until the following events have happen

;people will compete with one another in constructing high buildings; time will pass quickly; killing will increase; nearly thirty dajjals will appear, each of them claiming to be a messenger from Allah; a man will pass by a grave and will say, 'I wish iwere in your place'; the sun will rise from the West; when it rises and the people see it, they will all believe, but that will be the time good will it do to a soul to believe in them then, if it believed not before. (Bukhari Muslim)

Before that day comes!

The day of judgment wont just

happen all the sudden, there are minor

and many major signs that will take

place before the world ends.

> Knowledge will disappear and ignorance will appear.(Bukhari, Muslim)

>Womens will outnumber men. (Bukhari, Muslim, & Ahmad)

>Men will begin to wear silk (at-Tirmidhi)

>Female singers and musical instruments will become popular (at-Tirmidhi)

>Good deeds will decrease (Bukhari)

>Earthquakes will increase ( Bukhari & Muslim)

Some of the Major Signs are:

*The rising of the sun from the west.

*The emergence of the Beast from the earth.

*A wind will take the souls of the believers.

*The Qur'an will be taken up into heaven.

*A fire will take people to their last gathering place.

*The trumpet will be blown, at the first sound everyone will feel terror and scared, the second time everything will be strucked down, and the third time of the blow everything will be resurrected.

Hadith

Abu Huraira reported Prophet(peace be upon him) asaid:

Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, will take in His grip of the earth on the Day of Judgment and He would roll up the sky in His right hand and would say: I am the Lord; where are the sovereigns of the world?

{Book 039, Chapter 1, Number 6703 : Sahih Muslim}

The Events of that day are:

>The day will begin when the trumpet is blown, the sound if the trumpet claims that the day which Allah promised has finally arrived.

>Allah says in the Quran: "The Trumpet will be blown. That is the Day of the Threat". (Surah Qaf, 20)

>Everyone will be standing front of their lord as Allah said in the Quran: "The Trumpet will be blown, and at once they will be sliding from their graves toward their Lord". (Surah Ya Sin, 51)

Earth Will be Shaken by Quakes:

*Nothing will be left on earth, Mountains, trees, tall buildings, and in fact everything on earth will be destroyed.

In the Quran Allah Says: "No indeed! When Earth is crushed and ground to dust, and your Lord arrives with the angels rank upon rank, and that Day Hell is produced, that Day man will remember. But how will the remembrance help him"? (Surat al-Fajr, 21-23)

Mountains will become nothing but Dust!

How hard will it be to imagine the huge mountains

we see becoming just a dust, and will be nothing

more than that? Allah(swt) said in the Quran; "They

will ask you about the mountains. Say: "My Lord

will scatter them as dust. He will leave them as a

barren, level plain on which you will see no dip or

gradient." (Surah Ta Ha, 105-107)

Sirat "The Bridge"

After these signs has taken place and the Day of Judgement had arrived, then the decision of Jannah and Jahanam will be made. Sirat is the bridge over hellfire that will tell who deserves what?

The literal meaning of Sirat is 'Path', those who have done good will pass it safely and will enter paradise, and those who did bad will be sent to jahanam.

Abu Hurairah reported, that Prophet (S) said: "Then the Sirat (The bridge) will be setup and I will be the first one to cross with my Ummah" (Muslim and Bukhari)

Resurrection

The day of resurrection is when Allah will raise people and

jinn from dead to be judged. Everyone will be judged

according to thier deeds. A person will either be granted

Paradise and will live there forever or he will be thrown

into hell to suffer the physical and spirtual torment for

eternity.

Hisaab

Hisaab means accountability,on theDay of Judgement

we will be held accountable for our deeds and we will

be questionedby Allah (s.w.t.).

Allah said in the Quran: "On the Day when every person

will be confronted with all the good he has done, and

all the evil he has done, he will wish that there were a

great distance between him and his evil.

" ( Surat Al-Imran, Verse 30).

Jannah (Paradise)

According to Hadith there are eight different gates or levels of Jannah in which Jannat-ul-Firdous is the highest and Jannatul Mava is the

lowest. People will enter in different Jannahs according to their

deeds. The Jannah is made of Bricks of Gold and Silver. There will

be big beautiful gardens and houses in Jannah. There will also be

Canals of Milk, Honey, Water and Sharabun Tahoora. There will be

no diseases or death in the Jannah and people will always remain happy.

There will be tasty Fruits and other foods in Jannah.

Every Human will remain young In Jainnah. People In Jannah Will

be Beautiful, Sweet and Long in the Lengths. The People in Jannah

will wear Beautiful cloths.

Jahanam ( Hellfire)

It has 7 doors, the lowest one is the one

which contains the tree of Zaqoom and a

boiling pitch. Jahanam is prepared for

those who does not believe in Allah and

has rejected his messengers.

In the quran Jahanam is described as

afterlife of punishment and unhappiness

and blazing fire, as a warning to those

who disbelieve in God.

The Prophet (S) said:

“Hell will be brought forth that Day by means of seventy thousand ropes, each of which

will be held by seventy thousand angels.”
