History
- Arthur Rackham, an illustrator in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Arthur Rackham
At the age of 18, he worked as a clerk in the Wesminster fire office.
In 1893 he left his job and started working for the Westminster Budget as an illustrator and reporter.
In 1893 "The Dolly Dialogues" first published his book illustrations.
His work has been an inspiration to others works even to this very day.
1905 at age 38 he created 51color pieces to accompany "Washington Irving's Rip Van Winkle"
color-seperated printing was new. Rackham's vibrant, lavish style helped propel the edition to the status of instant classic.
His pieces were known for their luxurious color and keen attention to detail.
He became a member
of the ROyal Watercolour
Society
Hawthrone's wonderbook icluded his experimentation.
