Plato's allegory of the cave represents how untutored people are chained in a cave, unable to turn their heads . Only seeing the wall of the cave and the light by the fire behind them. Also some shadows and hearing echoes in the background. so the prisoners would make a mistake appearance of reality.
Modern day allegory of the cave example would be someone being in prison or jail for a very long time. An when they come out to the world they left, it has changed significantly. They can't adapt as fast as they should, so they continue to do what they did before. Some of them go right back to jail or prison. Staring at a cell mate or the wall of the prison or jail.
