Background
This story comes from a
country in West Africa na-
med Nigeria. Many people
were afraid of thunder and
lightning, and demanded to
know where this came from. So from then, people made this story to explain this cycle of weather.
-There used to be a mother sheep(Thunder), and her son, the ram(Lightning) who lived in a village
-The ram always used to go around burning houses and damaging farms. And whenever the ram was this naughty, the
sheep would loudly sold her son.
-At one point, the villagers had enough and went to complain to the king. The king had kicked them into the woods. But all this did was let the ram damage other close farms and the trees
-The people complained again, and the king banished these people from Earth.
-Now, they live in sky. Whenever there is a storm, you are likely to hear the ram being naughty, and his mother scolding at him. But when (thunder) is far away from (lightning), you will see a flash, but not hear the scowl.
The story of Lightning And Thunder is a Nigerian Folktale. This would be considered a fable. One reason for this is that there are many animals. Also, this is because this can slightly be compared to real life.
