Essential Question
When contemplating the morality of something, is it preferable to listen to what society says is “the right thing to do” or what your Faith professes?
Rationale
Catholic morality has to do with the public arena as well as personal life. Catholics are called to discern discrepancies, where they exist between societal realities and gospel values, and to develop strategies to make gospel values operative.
Our Answer
In regard to the morality of a situation, a person should seek justification through their faith in order to choose the outcome that is according to Church teachings.
