for the years after 1994 was the big drop for unemployment to arrive at -2.91% percent in the 95 after the 98 was recovered but still gave great losses for the population.

Questions:

in 1994 the lowest percentage was 6.707% in september ahd the highest

was 7.498% in january, which in comparision the other years was very low but since those dates not to mexico could climb as in the eighties

The economic situation

The crisis not only affected Mexico, but it also affected other latino american countries because Mexico suppose to be the door to treat for other countries with the U,S. To help solve this the U.S government give a loan of 20 thousand million dollars and also another 39 000 million dollars to help the economy, which in deed help but also increase the Mexico economy debt.

In 1994 occurs a devaluation of the Mexican peso.The Mexican economy faced a critical situation, which was deepened by the accumulated with out balance stemming from wrong policy responses. Also the Mexican banking system suffered a major crisis , so that the government had to intervene to help and allowed banks to increase their mass Interesting .Business , Professional and Small Farmers Bank Loans that had or credit cards, they were very affected.

In 1994, a 3.7 unemployment compared the strongest year of the crisis, it was 1995, the unemployment rate rose to 7.6% averaging 2.7 million people not working was recorded.

d. What is the rate of poverty?

asset poverty increased from 52.4% to 69% from 1994 to 1997.

capability poverty increased from 30.0% in 1994 to 46.9% in 1996.

food poverty increased 21.2% in 1994 to 37.4% in 1996.

e. Any other economic impact inside of the country.

In 1995 the crisis materialized because of a steep devaluation as a means to an inability to maintain the desired exchange rate and a steep drop in the level of international reserves levels

The Mexican government took steps to end the crisis:

• The Ausee granted an increase to the minimum wage of 7%

• AER proposes an increase on gasoline and other public goods is announced

After that the dollar stabilized at 6 pesos and then maintained at 7.7 pesos per dollar
