Here I have a few examples from how countries got their independence. First of we have Georgia. Georgia was ruled by Great Britain for a long time, until, they got sick of it. The people did not have many freedoms because they were ruled by Britain. The people fought back, and the Revolutionary war began. The people of America won, and now they are a free country. Nigeria was ruled by Britain, but they were deciding they didn't like it. They decide to gain independence and make a confederation by a confederation of three districts. They later made a constitution and are now an independent country. Ghana was a country were people were taken as slaves. Ghana was not happy about this treatment, and they did nationalist movements all over the continent.eventually, they gaind their independence, and the slave trade was stopped.

During European conquest of Africa, they took many raw materials. They used these materials to further develop technology, and advance in the Industrial Revolution. These new technologies were sent to the colonies of Africa which means that those colonies could be more productive and make more money. Some of the important goods for people to have during the industrial revolution, were machines,locomotives, ships, and many raw materials such as oil,ivory,rubber,palm oil,wood,and cotton.
