Family Fatality
- On January 12, 1960, Henry Lee Lucas killed his mother by stabbing her with a knife.
- He told police it was self defense after she was beating him with a broom but his
claim was rejected.

the second degree murder.

- Henry met a man named Ottis Toole and his niece, Frieda Powell, who was mentally retarded.

- Lucas claimed to commit some of his murders with their help.

- He supposedly kidnapped a 17-year-old girl who he

- In June 1983, Lucas was arrested again, originally for firearm violations, but then was later charged with the murder of 82-year-old woman, Kate Rich.
- He was also charged later on for the murder of Frieda "Becky" Powell.
