Any questions?

Super Smash Bros. Melee was released for the Gamecube in 2001 and is the sequel to the hit N64 game Super Smash Bros. Like the game that came before it, it was hugely successful, becoming the Gamecube's best-selling game. It includes all the characters from the original game, as well as some new characters from franchises such as Fire Emblem, which at the time, had never been released outside of Japan. It also adds new gameplay features, and its multiplayer gameplay became really popular, leading it to be featured in many competitive gaming tournaments.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are the latest entries into the Smash Bros series. Despite the two games having similar names, and almost the same content, they are officially considered the fourth and fifth games in the series. New features in this game include downloadable content (DLC), amiibo support, using Miis as playable characters, eight players being able to play at once, and customizable moves for every non-DLC character. The gameplay was made to be a mix of the more competition-orientated gameplay of Melee, and the more slow and casual style of Brawl. Like its predecessors, both of the games sold really well

Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/Nintendo 3DS

The first game of the series was released on the Nintendo 64 and it was simply called "Super Smash Bros." It was released in Japan on January 21, 1999, in North America on April 26, 1999, and in Europe on November 19, 1999. It is a fighting game crossing over many Nintendo franchises, including Mario, Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Earthbound, Pokémon, F-Zero, Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi. It recieved generally positive reviews from the media, and went on to sell 5 million copies worldwide by 2001. The game was so successful that it got a sequel. 3 of them, actually.

Fun facts about the series!

  • The characters were originally going to have battle damage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as shown from unused textures in the game.
  • One of the longest works of literature in the English language is a Super Smash Bros. fanfiction.
  • Super Smash. Bros was originally going to be a game for the SNES called "Dragon King" that used the Super FX chip used in games like Star Fox, or Yoshi's Island.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii. The game is the Wii's eighth best-selling game. The game is the first in the series to have playable third-party characters. It is unique, in that it has a more extensive single-player mode called the Subspace Emissary, the online battles with the Nintendo Wi-fi Connection, and that you can play the game with four different controllers. The game has recieved critically positive reviews, and has won many awards.

  • If the language is set to Japanese in Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mewtwo will speak in full sentences during some of its victory poses.
