Cinema, also known as motion picture, is the art of moving images, a visual medium that tells stories and exposes reality.
The art of cinema is one which changes consistently. In just the last 20 years, film production has been significantly warped by the impact of rapidly improving digital technology. Though some productions may still be shot on film, (although even this is becoming less common) most of the processes-- such as editing and special effects, are done by on the computer before the final images are transferred back to film, but even the need for this final transfer is decreasing as more and more cinemas invest in digital production. This sort of production is capable of producing screen images that rival the sharpness, detail, and brightness on traditional film projection.
Despite the use of film diminishing, the movie industry is ever-growing, and the wonders of what the future holds remain to be seen.
