Age 10

Age 8

Ages 14-18

Ages 5 and 6

Age 8 behaviors:

  • Overly sensitive to parental approval
  • Sees every situation as black or white
  • May cry when tired

Age 6 behaviors:

  • Is obsessed by rules
  • Is fiercely independent
  • May have temper tantrums again

Age 5 behaviors:

  • Makes up rules while playing
  • Investigates everything
  • Eats a lot

Age 10 behaviors:

  • Accepts parents wishes and usually obeys
  • Sees rules as flexible
  • Demands that friends keep promises
  • Golden age

High School Behaviors:

  • Bedtime shifts later
  • May not be eating healthy foods
  • Are beginning to work at a job
  • Taking on increasing responsibility
