Jesus Christ
He is the central figure of Christianity.
He was put on the cross to be crucified for us. For our sins.
His birth in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king.
He was the son of God, who sent him down to earth for sacrifice.
He Helped and healed many people that needed help and healing
Jesus Christ valued himself of a man of his word and heart. He taught the people of God and that he is ruler all mighty. He taught everyone he could to do the right things for the right reasons, he healed people that deserved it because they had forgiven their sins. He also sacrificed his life for us and did not judge others.
Nelson Mandela believed in the rights of all black people, and especially the ones living in South Africa (his home country). He envisioned a South Africa in which all its citizens had equal rights and where every adult would have the right to vote for the government of his/her choice. Nelson Mandela had unshakable belief in the equality of all people and his determination to overthrow the racist system of apartheid. Mr Mandela helped to organise and to lead many peaceful protest campaigns
A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.
For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.
I detest racialism, because I regard it as a barbaric thing, whether it comes from a black man or a white man.
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
I think he has made South Africa worth living in. I also think that if it wasn't for him we would probably still be separated (black and white). There is still plenty of racialism in our world but he has taken almost all of it out. I think forgiveness is his biggest impact on the people of our world, because even though he was sent to prison for 27 years he forgave all of those that had sent him there.
Whatever one's personal religious convictions, it is unmistakable that Jesus Christ has played a massive role in world history. Many of the changes brought about by Jesus are evident in the Bible, primarily in his attempts to break down the corruption that was occurring in Judaism. Many of the sweeping changes in Christianity can be directly attributed to Him.
Nelson Mandela Passage
John 7:24
English Standard Version (ESV)
24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."
I have chosen this passage from the bible for Nelson Mandela because it talks about racism, and Neslon Mandela did a lot of things to try nd stop racialism because he did not like it at all.
Jesus Passage
Genesis 4:7
New International Version (NIV)
7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
I have chosen this passage from the bible because it realates to Jesus about how he took our sins for us and said that we should not go with temptation but lead from it.
