The battle took place neer Eutawville South Carolina. General Nathanael Greene began the attack on Saturday September 8, 1781 at 4 in the morning. The battle of Eutaw Springs was a bloody battle with a British victory in the end. This battle was also the last battle for that year. Greene thought by taking out the one British camp (Colonel Stewert) he would end the British thret on the south.
