Treatment
- no cure
- No surgery, because removing bones in this way will just increase the growth of the "second skeleton"
- Avoid the activities whit high risk of falling, because injuries turn muscles in to bone.
- there are a lot of investigations about how to cure "fop", but the have not found a effective treatment
Symptoms
- children born with FOP have deformed big toes
- estrange bones starting at the neck, then shoulders, arms, and back.
- weird "lumps" in the back and neck, similar to tumors.
- malformed toes or thumbs
What is it?
Causes
a mutation in the gene causes the disease, and it creates the transformation of connective tissue and muscle tissue into a secondary skeleton
"FOP or Cancer"
is an extremely rare disease where the tissues such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments turn in to bone. surgery is not a solution because de body will "repair" the affected area whit more bone.
