WARM UP 4/2

Objective

How does an organisms adaptations help it to survive? Provide an example :)

Students will be able to understand and explain the different relationships amongst organisms in nature as well as learn about energy roles in different ecosystems in order to describe how energy is moved through an ecosystem.

  • One at a time, each group raise your index card to the class

  • People from different groups, raise your hand and explain why or why not each card belongs in that group in relation to the picture

Quietly reflect on this activity by choosing one of the following options

  • Write a few sentences explaining one of the pictures that is around the room. Use key vocabulary that describes the picture you chose

  • Draw a picture of an example of one of the following and write a sentence or two explaining your drawing and its components
  • Natural selection, competition, predation, symbiosis, mutualism, commensalism, parasitism
