Social Class Prevalent Today?
"This story captures a significant moment in the life of Karl Marx: when he puts aside his philosophical idealism in favor of Engels's more pragmatic political approach. The two really did meet on or about this time in the Café de la Régence." (Boylan 190) This café really had chess tables for people to play on. Karl Marx meet his friend Fredrich Engels at this café and played a game of chess with him. During this game of chess they talked about philosophy and jobs/ job satisfaction. In the end Marx lost because he viewed all the chess pieces as having equal value and had lost both his king and queen.
