As a teacher I am very passionate about meeting the students needs. I wish to challenge and support my students so that they may grow to love learning. I hope to model my love for the outdoors and traveling, and to help students find out what they are passionate about. As a teacher I strongly believe in fostering respect for themselves, others and the environment in my students so that they may become successful problem solvers in their local community and the world.
I have also have completed a three week
practicum at an outdoor school, a 5 week practicum at a public school, and will be
completing an 8 week practicum in April 2012 with a grade 2/3 class at another public school.

I have also worked at an out of school care where I implemented a program called "Outdoor Adventure". I took the children to nearby parks, and taught them about local flora and fauna.
I have grown up with a number of hobbies, most of which are outside. These include:
I have taught skiing in
Whistler, B.C.,
I am from the coast of
beautiful British Columbia
in Canada. I love it here because
there is a lot to do outdoors!
Hiking
and sailing in Victoria, B.C.
