You can see how important poetry and literature was to Wordsworth, because he thinks that Milton could save England from their troubles just because he was an amazing writer.

When things are going bad, people usually look to leaders in the world, but Wordsworth believed in Milton.

In conclusion, Wordsworth's brilliant idea that if Milton were alive he could save England is

BIASED

He Believes that a poet can change the world, but my idea is that poetry is important to poets.

When you are so in love

with something you

get so wrapped up in

it and forget that

maybe other people

don't take it as serious.

Paradise lost challenged the mind and

went beyond anything written.

He was so imaginative in creating an

entire story from just the brief part in

Genesis that talks about the fall of man.

No one had done anything like it, which

sparked the praise of all the other romantic

writers, including Milton, and continues to be

held as a praised work today.

Wordsworth is crying out for Milton and wishes he were alive to save England from its stagnant and selfish ways.

Wordsworth believes that if Milton were still alive, he could restore England to its purity... But why??
