Starbucks growth rate worldwide
by Sahar Yazouri
Starbucks has been a very successful business since the year 1971, and by the looks of my graph, equation, and their five-year plan, Starbucks will only continue to flourish and gain more money. There are consequences if the company declines, but the chances of this happening are scarce. Starbucks has created jobs for thousands of people worldwide.
As the years pass on, the amount of Starbucks worldwide will increase if my prediction is correct; however, Starbucks can become a failure. If the Starbucks stock starts to fall, investors may be concerned and will try to sell their shares as quickly as possible. The stock value will decrease massively and this will result to a great decline in the franchise. This stock failure may lead the franchise to close down. If the company closes down then thousands of people will lose their jobs. Looking at the company today, there doesn't seem to be a problem in the stock market. Actually, the founders have created a five-year plan. Essentially. this five-year plan will set a goal to have over 30,000 stores globally. The plan also states that the company will earn over $30 billion. The founders have found ways to not cause a major decline in the stock market. Starbucks is providing jobs for thousands of people worldwide and is also providing others with their daily cup of coffee.
Starbucks was founded in 1971, by 3 clever men named Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, Gordon Bowker. Since the year 1971, Starbucks has grown at a rapid speed. Today there are over 20,000 stores worldwide and it is only going to get bigger.

How many stores will there be in 2017?
If Starbucks continues to grow as expected, then I think that by the year 2017, there will be around 21,589 stores worldwide. I was able to figure this out by plugging the year into the equation, y=3840.8 x-1 + 7225. When the year is plugged in the equation would be y=3840.8 15-1 + 7225. Using this equation, I am able to find the amount of Starbucks in any year if there aren't any unexpected changes or variables.
