Migrations of the Romani People

This migration began 1000 years ago around the 11th century.

What challenges did humans face on the migration?

People stopped being nice to the Romani eventually. Romani refused to fully intergrate into society. The Romani were then blalmed for begging, thievery, kidnapping, prostitution and witchcraft.

  • Afghan general Mahmud of Ghazni was going to invade their country.
  • Mahmud's troops most likely pushed them out of northern India and into the countries that we now call Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
