That's All!

Recommendation

BYE!

I give this book 5 stars. I find this to be a very funny book. I would say if you like funny books this would be a great book for you to read. This book might be considered long because its 339 pages, but compared to some books it is considered short. This book holds a lot of great reading, funny moments, and fears. Seriously every chapter has a different fear and what the fear is of. So you also learn a little.

I hope you enjoyed this

presentation!

Summary (continued)

Abernathy is Mrs. Wellington's stepson and was the only person she couldn't cure. The children thought that Mrs. Wellington was so upset that she died of shock when Abernathy came back. However, Munchhauser, the gambler that he was, was upset with his little share of Mrs. Wellington's will and decided to steal Macaroni. Why did he steal Macaroni? Mrs. Wellington left a big portion of her will to Macaroni, a dog! Schmidty then told the foursome that Munchhauser stole Macaroni in the middle of the night.

Summary (continued)

Mrs. Wellington instructs Maddie to think about spiders and what happens when she sees a spider or insect. She tells Garrison to think about swimming and water. Lulu thinks about elevators or confined spaces with no windows. Theo thinks about death. Then, they learn about pageantry. One night, while they were eating dinner, Munchhauser, Mrs. Wellington's attorney, steps out of the trap door. He is a very gruesome sight, and has yellow eyes, horribly dirty fingernails and hair all sticking out in white and dark brown clumps on the head. He says three words to Mrs. Wellington, "Abernathy is back."

Summary (continued)

They had to go through the trap door that Munchhauser came through and Lulu was very scared. Then, when they got outside, Madeline was so scared of the fireflies and her veil got ripped. Next Garrison fell into a pond and almost drowned. Finally, they chased Munchhauser back to School of Fear and found out all of this was planned and that Mrs. Wellington wasn't dead after all. The planned rescue was for the children to stand up to their fears and it worked. They are to come back next summer.

Character Quote

"You expect us as teenagers, to spend the entire summer not able to use a cell phone to text. What about my mother she could have gotten in an accident and been killed, you gotta let me call her!" Theo said this when he found out the rules of the school. I just find this funny and I can relate to it I can't go a few minutes without checking my IPod or phone.
