LO: You will use empathy to design for an extreme user.

Essential Question: What is the role of empathy in the design process?

  • In your group, shuffle and pick a project card.
  • Return to your character card. Look carefully at both the front and back of the card.
  • As a group, answer the ALL questions on the worksheet (front and back).
  • Step 1: Grab your Character and Project Card.
  • Step 2: Pick a Think Card.
  • Step 3: Ideate with your group members. Remember to:
  • Use the observations you made yesterday to brainstorm solutions that meet the needs of your character.
  • Step 4: Answer the prompts to the Think Card on the back of your design sheet.
  • Step 5: Sketch and describe your design.
  • I will come around and ask questions as you work.
  • I will take pictures of your design and upload it to The Extraordinaires website so that we can become a part of their community.
