Theoretical Basis
- Some resources may not be as feasible in certain locations or economic situations
- Building a life of meaning by developing strengths and resources
- Health care payers/policy makers want concrete result of lasting results. (may not see leisure as such)

Developing Resources
- Recognizes not all leisure experiences give rise to positive emotions
- All clients have strengths. It's our job to bring those out in a client.
- May be developed through engagement in meaningful leisure experiences
- Not all leisure experiences support the development of capacities and resources
- The quality of the leisure experience is to support well being
- May be enhanced directly through interventions
- Achieved by savoring leisure
- There are five specific resources that are central to well-being
- To support clients as they identify, enhance, and utilize those strengths to achieve personal, meaningful goals.
