Hypothesis
Students who come from higher social class families will have a higher sport participation rate than students from lower social classes.
Analysis
- Students who had low family encouragement had low participation results.
- Students who came from two parent households participated in sport longer and was introduced to sports at an earlier age.
- Students introduced at an earlier age(ages 3-5) had a higher participation rate.
- Their were a few students who had high participation rates but did not have much family encouragement. These students claimed to still have other opportunities like high grade facilities.

- Grade of facilities offered
- Amount of parent encouragement
- Age introduced to sport

Hypothesis Explanation
- 33% of students who considered themselves high class participated in sports 10+ years
- 67% of students who considered themselves having plenty of family encouragement participated in sports 10+ years
- 90% of students who participated in sports 10+ years were introduced to sports between the ages of 3-5
- 100% of the students introduced to sport after the age of 8 had little to basic(1-4years)sport participation.
- Only 7.1% of students surveyed who had a high amount of family encouragement did not have a high participation rate.
- 85.7% of students introduced at an earlier age(3-5) participated in sports
Economic class can affect modes of transportation available, quality of available facilities, amount of family encouragement, and the amount of available time for extracurricular activities.
