Create a Game Plan

- when preparing for role play, split content evenly so that each partner has an equal amount of content to contribute during the presentation

- discuss the performance indicators together and divide them based on whoever has more knowledge or ideas in that area

- plan everything in advance, including the logistics of the presentation itself

- introduction --> brief overview of situation and goals--> performance indicators --> summary--> Questions

Role Play Signals ( Teams)

- for teams, it is crucial that signals are made so that non-verbal communication can occur between partners during a role

- these signals can hold various meanings such as: 1) a partner wants to add something to what the other partner is currently talking about

2) reminding a partner to wrap things up

- signals should be subtle enough that judge will not notice anything but partner will be able to tell even when they are speaking (ex. foot nudge, clasp hands on top of the table, one hand on the table)
